Circular City Challenge – the winners have been announced.

Within the framework of the Circular City Challenge, answers were found to the challenges of the transformation to a circular urban system.

BERLIN, May 19, 2022 – Circular City Challenge 2022

With the Circular City Challenge, Circular Berlin, Circular Munich, Materialkreislauf und Circonnact set themselves the aim of helping to shape the transition from a linear economy to a circular economy in the urban environment. To do so, they searched for the best answers to challenges in the areas of resource management, system infrastructure, digital technologies and consumption & awareness.

After 7 months, 130 applications and the evaluation of 20 jury members from over 4 cities, the most promising solutions and approaches have now been nominated.

From the multitude of interesting projects, 8 winners were able to convince the jury, which is composed of urban representatives, that they can make an important contribution to the transformation to an urban circular economy.
