The challenge

The European Commission adopted an ambitious Circular Economy Package that will help stimulate European transition towards a circular economy, foster sustainable economic growth and generate new jobs. However, this transition requires rapid transformation of the educational practices incorporating circular economy principles. The vocational education training (VET) offers alternatives for the new skills needed.

Our approach

The project is organised through the transnational meetings and exchange to understand relevant practices in the different areas. Circular Berlin’s role has brought in expertise on the topic of community building for circular economy, zero waste knowledge, and waste prevention and reuse.

The outcomes

Overview of the different methods used in Europe to provide adults with skills relevant to the circular economy. Practical guides to the methods used in different countries were also provided.
