Circularity starts with people – their mindsets, habits, and values.
In the Circular Culture impact area, we focus on empowering individuals and communities to make circular living visible, accessible, and part of daily life.
Our programs use education, storytelling, and creative engagement to build a culture where sustainable choices become the new normal – in Berlin and beyond.
THE CHALLENGE
Circular Economy perceived as inconvenient for many Berliners.
Transitioning to a circular economy isn’t just about technology or materials – it’s about people. Many Berliners care about sustainability, yet the systems, knowledge, and visibility needed to make circular behaviour easy are still missing, which reinforce throwaway culture.
Circular Berlin works to close this gap by supporting changemakers, educators, and creative practitioners to share knowledge, shape new habits, and inspire collective action.

Our projects
Our projects show how circularity becomes real when people participate – through learning, community events, and shared experiences. Explore initiatives that make sustainable living part of everyday life:
